Steps: polka [or vestenom], stamp, gangtrin (walk)
Bars Part Dance progression:
|:1-8:| (a) Polka: Couples dance turning polka, turning CW [or more commonly, CCW], moving in LOD.
Finish by dropping hold, with M with back to centre of circle, W facing partner, about 1 step apart.
|:9-12:| (b) Advance & retire: M retires (9-12) and then advances (9-12), 4 slow walking steps each way (L R L R).
13 (c) Figuré Each time the dance is repeated, part (c) is played one additional time, and each time all previous movements are repeated in sequence, plus one new movement [N.B. only men dance part (c)]:
(c) played 1 time: M 1 stamp with L foot
(c) played 2 times: + 1 stamp with R foot
(c) played 3 times: + kneel on L knee
(c) played 4 times: + kneel on R knee
(c) played 5 times: + L elbow to floor
