Bars Part Dance progression:
1-8 (a) Two-hand turn: M1 and M2, and simultaneously W1 and W2, take 2-hand hold and turn, [8 hopsa steps].
1-8   Circle: Couples 1 and 2 form closed circle, and circle [8 hopsa steps].
9-12 (b) Smedetur (clapping sequence): M1 and M2, and simultaneously W1 and W2, clap [as follows: clap own hands (9:1), opposite's R hand (9:3), own hands (10:1), opposite's L hand (10:3), own hands (11:1), opposite's two hands (11:3), and own hands twice (12).]
13-16   Elbow-hook turn: M1 and M2, and simultaneously W1 and W2, take R-elbow hook hold, and turn once round [4 hopsa steps].
9-16   Hopsa: Couples 1 and 2 take waltz hold and dance turning hopsa CCW around each other, [8 hopsa steps].
Repeat from (a) as desired.
[At repeat, couple 1 dances with couple 3 while couple 2 stands over, etc.]

Provenance: From a collection of ms notebooks of sheet music etc. begun likely in the second half of the 1700s, and contributed to by 6 generations of the [now] Rasmussen family, a family of musicians in Strandby, on southwest Fyn. The notebooks are now in the collections of Dansk Folkemindesamling.
