As dance is repeated, alternate between M and W standing in the centre, versus circling outside.
More commonly done now with all couples in a closed circle in (a), often with elbow-hook chain, turning once all way round with each oncoming person (total of 4 elbow hooks) in (b), and tyrolerhopsa in (c). At the next repeat, couple 1 dances with couple 3, while couple 2 rests. In the following repeat, couple 1 dances with couple 4, and couple 2 with couple 3.
