1   1 polonaisetrin=1 pivot step followed by 1 omtrædningstrin (change-step, or polka step).
Man's step: M steps forward with pivot on L foot (1:1) in front of partner, with a strong lift on L, swings R behind L for a change-step (R-LR) while turning smoothly CW.
Woman's step: same as M's step, but with opposite footwork, and beginning with a shorter step onto R foot, but also with a strong lift on the first beat. W's change-step is a little stronger than M's.
One bar=one full CW turn.
