1-8 1 (a) Circle : In closed circle, all circle CW, 4 chassé steps (1-4). Ditto CCW (5-8).
9-12   (b) Figuré: All turn to face partner, hands on hips, and dance 1 small chassé to own R, while turning 1/4 over R shoulder (9). Ditto to own L while turning 1/4 over L shoulder (10).
Repeat (11-12), but on bar 12, turn 3/4 turn over L shoulder to face corner.
13-16   Repeat (b) facing corner, and on bar 16 turning over L shoulder to face partner.
17-24   Chain: All dance R-hand chain, once round the set, 8 chassé steps. All M take a 'cheat step' at the end of the chain.
If there are fewer or more than 8 couples, chain to 9th oncoming dancer (=new partner).
25-32   Pivot: All take waltz hold with partner and dance pivot steps around the set, 16 pivot steps.

1-8 2 (a) Couple 1 swing: Couple 1 turns on the spot, 16 buzz steps. All other couples remain standing.
1-8 3 (a) Couples 1 & 2 swing: Couples 1 & 2 turn on the spot, 16 buzz steps. Couples 3-8 remain standing.
1-8 4 (a) Couples 1, 2 & 3 swing: Couples 1, 2 & 3 turn on the spot, 16 buzz steps. Couples 4-8 remain standing.
1-8 9 (a) Continue in this manner, adding an additional couple to those swinging until all couples are swinging.
The dance finishes, if there are 8 couples, with part (9 (d)).
