Bars Part Dance progression:
1-8 (a) Promenade: Couple 1, holding inside hands, dances down the set, 8 slow, stately walking steps.
9-16   Couple 1 turns 1/2 turn CCW as a couple, and dances back up the set, 8 slow walking steps.
Finish in original place, but in opposite line, ie M in W line, and W in M line.
17-18   Couple 1 curtesy/bow to partner.
19-20   M1 and W2 curtesy/bow. Simultariously, M2 and W1 ditto.
|:21-28:| (b) Swing: Couples 1 and 2 take waltz hold with partner and swing on the spot, 16 buzz steps.
Finish in place at start of (b), ie M in W line, and W in M line.
|:29-36:| (c) Chain: Couples 1 and 2 dance R-hand chain twice round, beginning giving R hand to partner, and beginning with ML/WR foot. 16 walking steps.
|:37-44:| (d) Waltz: Couples 1 and 2 take waltz hold with partner, and waltz 2-1/2 times moving CCW around opposite couple. 16 waltz steps.
Finish having progressed one place, and in original lines.
    When the music repeats, couple 1 dances with couple 3 and couple 2 stands over. When couple 1 dances with couple 4, couple 2 dances with couple 3.
If there are many couples in the lines, every second couple (ie couples 1, 3, 5, etc.) can begin simultaneously.
