Provenance: documented by Erik Jensen based on a former stockman on Valnæs farm. In addition, Erik Jensen had a maternal uncle Rasmus, dairy manager in Vålse, who said he would speak with the blacksmith Jørgen Rasmussen, who also knew the dance: "But watch out, his wife blethers, so talk to the smith alone... The music for Firetur fra Vålse in previous editions of "Gamle dance fra Lolland-Falster" is actually called 'Firtur med vals' and is composed by Hans Adrian. The tune that Erik Jensen submitted together with the dance description, is called Firetur, and was not originally used [in the previous edition] probably because it was missing a beat. Since we are of the opinion that this was a typographic error, we have permitted ourselves to carefully add the missing beat and use the tune. We have used Adrian's tune 'Firtur med vals' for the dance with that name, also by Hans Adrian." [FFF/Lolland-Falster p.50.]
