Country: Fyn, Denmark
Type: couple dance
Jydevals aka Fryd dig ved livet, Fyn:
Type: couple dance Formation: couples, waltz hold, facing in LOD. [Note: the description contains no explicit indication as to the direction of line of dance. Therefore I have assumed that the dance progresses in LOD, ie CCW around the room, and turning CW.] Steps: sideløbstrin (slip step), hopsa, hoptrin (step-hop), polka, mazurkaspjæt, appel (stamp) Sheet music: (1) 'Jydevals' nr 22 in: Weensgård, Gertrud/ Fryd dig ved livet. Fra Hans Rasmussens nodebog. (Knarreborgbogen) Årslev: s.n. 1987, p. 14. [This source contains 2 versions of the sheet music, of which one appears to be an error in transcription. A clean version is available on p. 50.], (2) 'Fryd dig ved livet' nr 22 in: Weensgård, Gertrud/ Fryd dig ved livet. |
