17-24   Lines 1 and 2 form individual closed circles, holding upper arms, and beginning with a stamp on beat (17:1), circle CW, 8 step-hops (17-20). Ditto, beginning with a stamp on beat (21:1), circle CCW 8 step-hops (21-24) while simultaneously changing places, so that the two lines have now progressed, line 1 down the set, and line 2 up the set.
    Repeat from (a) as desired.
When the dance repeats (from (a)), line 1 dances with line 3, while line 2 rests. In the following repeat, line 1 dances with couple 4, while line 2 dances with line 3, etc.

Provenance: one of the few dances considered to have originated in Denmark and spread elsewhere, namely to Germany (Kesselflicker in northern and central Germany). Originally from the ballet "Vaskerpigerne og Kiedelflikkeren", composed by Claus Schall and choreographed by Vincenzo Galeotti at Det kongelige Teatre [trans: the Royal Theatre]. The ballet premiered Jan. 15, 1788 and formed part of the company's program through to 1835, by which time it had been performed over 100 times. The tune occurs in numerous musicians' notebooks all over Denmark prior to the 1840s.
The Bornholm description appears to be a 'pirated' copy (published 1928) of that from FFF (first published in 1903, and definitely occurs in the 2nd ed published 1920).
