Bars Part Dance progression:
1-16 (a) W progress: Beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot, dance 1 waltz step forward (towards centre of circle) (1), one waltz step backwards (out of centre of circle) (2).
M dances 2 waltz steps on the spot, while leading W on his L side to his R side. W passes in front of M, turning one full turn CW into place on M's right side on 2nd waltz step (3-4).
Repeat (a) 3 times (5-16). Person now on MR/WL's side after 4th iteration = new partner.
1-2 (b) Figuré & couple turn: With M facing LOD and W facing RLOD, take two-hand hold with new partner. Beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot, all take one sidestep towards centre of circle (1), followed by one side-step away from centre of circle (2).
3-4   Drop handhold, and beginning with ML/WR foot, dance 2 waltz steps on the spot, M turning one full turn CCW, W turning CW (ie away from partner).
5-6   Resume two-hand hold with partner, and beginning with inside (MR/WL) foot, take one sidestep away from centre of circle followed by one side-step towards centre of circle.
7-8   Drop handhold, and beginning with MR/WL foot, dance 2 waltz steps on the spot, M turning one full turn CW, W turning CCW.
9-12   Resume two-hand hold with partner, and beginning with ML/WR foot, dance two sidesteps towards centre of circle (9-10), followed by two sidesteps away from centre of circle (11-12).
13-16   Take waltz hold with partner, and dance turning waltz, moving in LOD, 4 waltz steps.
|:17-32:||:33-64:|   Repeat from (a) as desired.
