Bars Sequence Dance progression:
|:1-4:| 1 (a) Circle: All couples form closed circle and circle CW [8 walking steps]. Ditto CCW.
|:5-12:|   (b) Polka: Head couples take waltz hold and dance CCW around each other and back to place (5-12), 8 slow polka steps.
Side couples repeat (b) (5-12).
[There is no mention of this part in the source listed below, although the sheet music contains a third phrase. This description reflects how the dance is done today, see the videos.]
13-16   (c) Star: All take R-elbow hook with partner. The M form L-hand star, bent arms, elbows and hands together, hands up.
Circle CCW, M forwards and W backwards, skip steps [or walking steps].
17-19   Repeat (c) circling CW [ie M backwards, W forwards].
20   W swing [one-half turn CW] into centre and form L-hand star as above.
13-20   Repeat (c) [circling CCW and CW]..
    Parts (b) and (c) are the same in all sequences.
[The source below suggests sequences as in svingkontra from Blåvand; today these are danced with walking steps rather than skip steps.]

Provenance: Kylling Søren was reputedly a well-known thief in the area. He is reputed to have whistled this tune when being flogged for his transgressions. The dance was documented in 1842 by Bachelor of Theology student O.F. Kynde, and sent to A.P. Berggreen.
