Formation: longways set of couples, M to the right, W to the left, as seen from the music. Couples numbered from the top of the set as couple 1, 2, 1, 2, etc.

Bars Part Dance progression:
1-4 (a) Lines advance, 4 small step-hops (1-2). Retire ditto (3-4).
1-4   Repeat (a).
|:5-8:| (b) Beginning stepping onto L foot, all dance 16 balancé steps.
9-10 (c) Lines advance with 4 small step-hops.
11-12   All take R-in-R hold with partner and stamp 3 times (L R L). Repeat stamps (R L R).
9-12   Retaining R-hand hold with partner and turn once round CW on the spot with 4 step-hops (9-10). Repeat stamps (11-12), (L R L) and (R L R).
|:13-16:| (d) Beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot [and giving R hand to partner], couples 1 and 2 dance R-hand chain twice round, M1 and W1 changing places at beginning of chain. 16 step-hops.

|:17-20:| (e) Couples 1 and 2 take waltz hold and dance galop [sic] 2-1/2 times CCW around each other. 16 polka steps.
At the end of the galop, couples 1 and 2 have switched places, ie progressed.
    Repeat from (a) until all couples are in their original starting position.
When the music repeats, all couples are dancing with a new couple. As each couple reaches either end of the set, they rest one full repeat, [before progressing in the opposite direction].
