Bars | Part | Dance progression: | Danish lyrics | English trans. |
|:1-8:| | (a) | All circle [in either LOD or RLOD]. Walking steps.
At some point of their choosing, leader begins to form circle in centre of the floor, with all other dancers following, until a tight ball of dancers in concentric circles, still holding hands, is formed, all still circling with walking steps. |
Rundt i sneglegang vi slynger,
mens vi glad og muntert synger, barnet sig glæder når alle i klyngen står. |
Round and round and round we go,
while we happy gladly sing, We kids are so very happy when we're like a ball of wool. |
|:1-8:| | (b) | At some point of their choosing, without dropping hold, leader begins to work their way out of the ball of dancers, by ducking under joined hands of successive concentric circles, leading the line of dancers out, and into a broken circle of dancers moving in LOD or RLOD. |
Nu opløser vi vor klynge,
mens vi glad og muntert synger, barnet sig glæder når alle i kredsen står. |
Now our ball of wool unravels,
while we happy gladly sing, We kids are so very happy when we're in a ring once more. |
