5-8   W place fists on hips, and turns CW infront of M, moving in LOD, 2 full turns with 4 polkka steps. Meanwhile, M folds arms on chest and follows partner, dancing forward with 4 polkka steps.
9-12 (b) Pojat pyörivät (M figuré): Couples take polkka hold and dance 4 polkka steps, turning CW, and moving in LOD.
13-16   M folds arms on chest, and turns CW infront of W, moving in LOD, 2 full turns with 4 polkka steps. Meanwhile, W has fists on hips and follows partner, dancing forward with 4 polkka steps.
On the last polkka step, W moves around M's left side and infront of him over to his R side to take varsouvienne (allemande) hold.

Provenance: Recalled by Hertta Olsonin and Hellin Teittisen, from Parikkala, in 1906. Published in the 2nd ed. of Kisapirtti in 1907. Dance and music were common in Savo, and north and soutn Karelia. Taught in Vancouver, BC by ? sometime in the 1960s.
