Formation: 4 couple quadrille. Couples are numbered CW around the set from couple 1. Couples 1 and 3 are head couples, 2 and 4 are side couples.

Bars Part Dance progression
|:1-4:||:5-8:| 1 Alkupiiri (circle): All couples form closed circle and dance CW, 16 steps. Ditto CCW.
1-4 2 Vastuu ja piiri (advance, retire, circle): Head couples (couples 1 and 3) take open waist-shoulder hold and take 3 walking steps towards each other, closing feet on 4th beat. Repeat backwards to place.
1-2   Head couples again take 3 walking steps towards each other, and close feet on 4th beat.
3-4   Head couples form closed circle, and take 3 walking steps backwards to open circle, closing feet on 4th beat.
|:5-8:|   Circle moves CW 8 walking steps. Ditto CCW, 8 walking steps.
|:1-4:||:5-8:|   Side couples (couples 2 and 4) repeat 2.
1-2 3 Kierto (opposites flirt): W1 and M3 advance towards each other with 4 walking steps,
3-4   circle CW around each other (facing, maintaining eye contact) and return to place, 4 walking steps.
1-4   W1 and M3 take waltz hold with partner and turn CW on the spot, 8 walking steps.
|:5-8:|   W2 and M4 repeat 3.

Provenance: Olli Kasa was taught the dance in Suistamo, in the 1950s. Taught by Martti Vanhapelto, in Vancouver 1985-11 and 1987-02. One of the combined dances for Nordlek 2012 in Steinkjer, Norway.
