Bars Part Dance progression:
1-8 1 (a) Advance,retire,change places: Holding R hands, beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot, dance one humppa step towards each other (1), one humppa step away from each other (2), and change places with 2 humppa steps (3-4). Repeat to return to place (5-8).
9-12   (b) Walk & clap: All begin with R foot to R, with 3 walking steps (R L R), and clap on (10:3).
Beginning with L foot, move to L with 3 walking steps on the spot (L-R-L) and finishing with a clap on (12:3).
13-16   Dos-à-dos & progress: Dance dos-à-dos CW around current partner, 8 walking steps.
Finish facing next opposite to own R (ie 1st corner = new partner), M facing out of circle, W facing in.
1-16   Repeat (1 (a) and 1 (b)). Finish in two-hand hold with new partner.
1-4 2 (a) Advance,retire,scissor step: In 2-hand hold with new partner, beginning with ML/WR foot, dance 3 walking steps away from centre of circle, finishing with a hop on (2:3). Dance 3 walking steps towards centre of circle, finishing with a hop on (4:3)
5-8   Dance 3 walking steps away from centre of circle, finishing with a hop on (6:3)
Dance 1 scissor step (7-8), with a hop onto both feet on (8:4).
9-12   (b) Spin: All spin to R, 3 walking steps turning CW with a clap on (10:4).
All spin to L, 3 walking steps turning CCW, and a clap on (12:4).
13-16   Advance,retire,change places: Give R hand to partner, and dance 1 humppa step towards partner, and 1 humppa away from partner. (13-14)
Holding R hands, change places with partner, this time W turning CW under joined R arms. 2 humppa steps (15-16). Finish with M in outside circle facing in, W on inside facing out.
1-4 3 (a) Spin: All spin to R, 3 walking steps turning CW, and a clap on (2:4).
All spin on the spot, 3 walking steps turning CCW, and a clap on (4:4), finishing with a second new partner.
5-8   Advance,retire,change places: Give R hand to partner, and dance 1 humppa step towards partner, and 1 humppa away from partner. (5-6)
Holding R hands, change places with partner, this time W turning CW under joined R arms. 2 humppa steps (7-8). Finish with M in outside circle facing in, W on inside facing out.
9-16   (b) Spin: Repeat (2 (b)).
