1-4 (a) Polkka: In polkka hold, dance 4 polkka steps turning CW, moving in LOD.
1-4   Dance 4 polkka steps, turning CCW, moving in LOD.
Finish with M facing in LOD, W facing in RLOD, dropping hold and placing fists on hips.
5-6 (b) Laukka (slip steps): With fists on hips, M dance 4 slip steps into centre of circle, W ditto out of circle [ie all dance 4 slip steps to L, starting with L foot].
7-8   All dance 4 slip steps to R, starting with R foot. [ie. finish facing partner in original place].
5-8   All repeat (b), but beginning to R, ie M moving out of circle, W moving into centre of circle.
