Provenance: there are about 30 different versions of this dance, of which this description is based on only seven. Tanhuvakka (2012 & 1977) describes 7 versions, including from Sahalahti, and two from Saarijärvi. Martti Vanhapelto taught versions from Parikkala, Kalvola, Rääkylä and Iitti in Vancouver, 1987-07-02.
