Formation: square 4 couple (quadrille) set. Head couples face or have backs to music; side couples stand respectiv;ely to R head couples. or long-ways set of 4 couples facing couples, with M standing behind partner. M has hands on partner's waist, W has hands on own hips.

Bars Part Dance progression
1-4 1 (a) Laukka (slip steps): Head couples dance 4 slip steps to L (1-2), then to R to return to place (3-4). During the slip steps, partners look at each other.
1-4   Repeat (a), dancing first to R and then to L.
|:5-8:|   (b) Enkeliskakierto (reel of 4): Opposite couples, W starting, dance R-shoulder reel of 4, 15 walking steps.
Finish in place, with M in front and facing into set, and W behind, and holding partner as described above.
[If danced in 2 lines of couples facing couples all can dance reel simultaneously. However, if danced in square set, one alternative is to have couples on the vertical axis and those on the horizontal axis dance the reel of 4 in alternate repeats.]
|:1-4:| 2 (a) Laukka (slip steps): Repeat 1 (a), but first to R, then to L.
|:5-8:|   (b) Enkeliskakierto (reel of 4): Repeat 1 (b), M begining the reel.
    Side couples repeat sequences 1 and 2.

Formation: 2 couple set, or long-ways set of an even number of couples facing couples. M stands behind partner. W holds M's hands in own a little above waist height, with M's arms under W's arms.

5-8   (b) Pilkistys (W figuré): W hold skirt, M fists on hips. W advance, with 4 change steps, turning coquetishly from side to side, and flirting with opposite M. M dance 4 two-steps in place.
5-8   W turn CCW (over L shoulder), and repeat returning to place. M dance 4 change steps in place. W finish facing partner.
|:9-12:|   (c) Enkeliskakierto (reel of 4): Opposite couples dance R-shoulder reel of 4, 8 change steps.
Finish in place, with M in front and facing into set, and W behind, and holding as described above.
[Begin reel passing R shoulders with partner.]
