Provenance: Informant Berndt Fredrik Brinkas, from Västerby, born 1859. He was a farmer and musician, who taught a number of the old local dances to members of Arbetets Vänner in Pyttis.

Provenance: When Thure Roos, a bachelor of medicine, and Yngvar Heikel visited Hindersby in May of 1911, a large number of older and youger village residents gathered in the youth community centre to demonstrate the old dances. Similarly when Holger Rancken, Ph.D. and Y. Heikel visited in January 1912. Musicians present were Henrik and Reinhold Johansson-Stor-Kolfus, Karl Gustaf 'Knusen' Karlsson (1864-1923) and Henrik Justerskogs.
