Formation: any number of couples in open circle, holding inside hands, facing LOD.

Bars Part Dance progression
1 (a) Promenade: Couples walk forward in LOD, 4 walking steps. On 4th step, turn towards partner to face RLOD, hold inside (ML/WR) hands.
2   All walk backwards in LOD, 4 walking steps.
3   Without turning, all walk forward in RLOD, 4 walking steps. On 4th step, turn towards partner to face LOD, hold inside (ML/WR) hands.
4   All walk backwards in RLOD, 4 walking steps.
5 (b) Progression: Holding inside hands, dance 1 change-step on the spot, beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot, and moving slightly away from partner.
Repeat, beginning with inside foot (MR/WL) and moving slightly toward partner.
6   M dances 2 change-steps on the spot, while swinging partner over to his L side.
Meanwhile W, beginning with L foot, turns one full turn CCW and finishes side by side with partner, facing in LOD, holding inside (ML/WR) hands.
7   Dance 1 change-step on the spot, beginning with inside (ML/WR) foot, and moving slightly toward partner.
Repeat, beginning with outside (MR/WL) foot and moving slightly away from partner.
8   M dances 2 change-steps on the spot, while swinging partner over to his R side and behind himself in RLOD.
Meanwhile W, beginning with R foot, turns one (or 2 if she pleases) full turn CW, passing in front of partner, past partner's R side in RLOD, and finishing on R side of next M in RLOD (=new partner).
Once W has passed in front of partner, M moves forward to take hand of next oncoming W (=new partner).
All finish side by side with new partner, facing in LOD, holding inside (ML/WR) hands.
