Bars Part Dance progression:
1-8 (a) Circle: Pairs of facing couples form closed circles and circle twice round CW, 16 small buzz steps.
9-10 (b) Promenade: Both M take waltz hold with opposite (=new partner) and dance forward in LOD, M1 with W2 in front, and M2 with W1 following them, 2 change steps.
11-12   M1 with W2 and M2 with W1 take closed waist-shoulder hold, and dance 4 pivot steps, moving in LOD.
13-16   Repeat (b).
Note: although (b) is danced around the floor in LOD, the 2 original couples stay together, so that they are ready for the next sequence. After each sequence, both M have changed partner.
Part (b) is the same in all sequences.

Provenance: A similar dance occurs in Denmark, as På vejen hjem.
