5-8   Beginning with a stamp on beat (5:1), and beginning on outside (ML/WR) foot, all advance with 12 small running steps.
On the last 2 steps, couple 2 turns individually to face couple 3, and hold inside (MR/WL) hands.

When couples have danced under the arches formed by the other two couples twice, and returned to their original position at the beginning of the arches, they have done one full set of arches. Repeat arches twice, without stopping. 48 running steps.
Repeat from (a) with a new couple 1, as desired.
Note: at each repeat, a different couple becomes couple 1.
