Tremannsril frå Aure

Formation: sets of 3 dancers each, normally consisting of 1 M and 2 W. M stands in centre, with 1 W on either side (WR and WL respectively) and somewhat in front of M. M hold hands forward and up, while the 2 W hold hands with M and each other. All facing in LOD.
Steps: bytomfotsteg nr, I (two-step with 4 svikt per bar), hoppsteg I (step-hop) med bortsviktahopp, reinlendersnu I (couple turn with step-hops)
Music: any reinlender

Bars Part Dance progression
1-8 1 (a) Beginning with ML/WR foot (outside foot) sets dance 8 bytomfotsteg forward in LOD.
1-2   (b) M takes R-elbow hook with WR, and the 2 turn CW on the spot, 4 step-hops.
3-4   M takes L-elbow hook with WL, and the 2 turn CCW on the spot, 4 step-hops.
5-8   Repeat (1 (b)).
9-12 2 (a) M dances over to WR with 2 step-hops (9). Couple takes polska hold and turn 3 times CW on the spot with step-hops (10-12).
13-16   (b) M dances over to WL with 2 step-hops (9). Couple takes polska hold and turn 3 times CW on the spot with step-hops (10-12).
9-16   Repeat (2 (b)).
    Repeat from (1 (a)) as desired.

Provenance: description based on a film recorded in 1968 in Aure in Nordmøre with Daniel Brevik and Anna Torset.
This was one of the combined dances at Nordlek 1997 in Vasa.
