3-4   Stand still and bend from the waist to R, to L, and straighten up.
5-8   Repeat (a), moving to own L.
9-16 (b) Pivot: Couples take closed waist-shoulder hold and dance, on the spot, 16 pivot steps..
    Repeat from (a) as desired.

Provenance: the dance was documented by Christian Olsen (1881-1968), 'Torpelund', Eskebjerg near Kalundborg. He wrote that they had learned the dance from Mrs. Thit Jensen. Thit Jensen (1876-1957), the author, was born in Himmerland, and sister to the author Johannes V. Jensen, who among other things provided the information about the dance 'Sisken' from Himmerland.
Christian Olsen came from a family of musicians and was very interested in history. He collected many folk music tunes and published the 3-volume Gamle danse fra Nordvestsjælland. His collection of tunes is now in the holdings of Dansk Folkemindesamling.

[Take the first pivot step on fourth step (18:2) to facilitate getting around.]

Provenance: Source of the variant in the following Danish videos is uncertain: Danish group from Jylland 2011; Herlev Gamle Danse 2022;. However, they bear strong similarity to the simplified Swedish version of Ritsch ratsch devised by Inez Mallander and described in Mallander (see below, p.136).
