1-4	(a)	Polkka: In waltz[or polkka] hold, couples dance turning polkka moving in LOD [CCW]. 4 polkka steps. Drop hold and finish in open circle, facing partner [M facing CCW in circle, W facing CW].
\|:5-8:\|	(b)	Kumarrukset (bows): All turn their back on partner [ie face corner] and bow deeply 4 times so that one's buttocks touch [those of partner] with each bow (each bow and straightening up occurs over 2 bars of music). [Repeat from (a) as desired. Sources are not clear on whether one continues dancing with original partner, or alternatively, continues dancing with corner as new partner with each repeat.]
