Bars Part Dance progression
1-2 (a) Promenade: With weight on inside (MR/WL) foot, couples dance forward in LOD with a häl og tå step, followed by 1 bytomfotsteg.
3-4   Repeat (a) with opposite footwork.
1-4   Repeat (a).
5-8 (b) Polka: Beginning with outside (ML/WR) foot, couples take closed waist-shoulder hold and move in LOD, turning CW, with 4 change steps. M begins with a stamp on L foot.
5-8   Couples dance 8 pivot steps. On steps 7 and 8, M lifts W while turning 1/2 turn CW, to finish by placing partner on his R side.
    Repeat from (a) as desired.

Provenance: A schottish variant that occurs in tantoli [Denmark], kaakkuri/kiikuri-kaakkuri/tanttuli [Finland], tantoli [Norway], tantoli [Sweden] and former Swedish-speaking islands of Estonia.
Norwegian description first published in the 1925 edition of Norske folkedansar II, with the following note by Semb "I wrote descriptions of Tantoli, Stoppen, Fingerpolka and Lottistå in Austfold several years ago, but did not include them in the first edition. These dances were still being commonly danced around the countryside."
